STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State recorded its most goals in a game in two years Sunday afternoon as the Cowgirls got back in the win column with a 4-0 triumph over Georgia at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.

Holly Brehmer netted a pair of goals for OSU, while Marlo Zoller and Courtney Dike also scored to help the Cowgirls improve to 2-1-0 on the season.

The four goals was the most by an OSU team since Aug. 30, 2013, when the Cowgirls topped Oklahoma, 4-1.

"It was all about the kids' performance; they got after it and played great — nothing negative to say," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael.

OSU dominated the attack throughout the match, outshooting UGA (0-3-1) by an 18-8 margin, but the Cowgirls had several near misses in the opening half, including a blast by Haley Woodard that hit the near post, a shot by Zoller that was just inches wide of the goal and a header by Beryl Smith that UGA goalie Louise Hogrell was able to save.

However, in the 44th minute, the Cowgirls would finally get on the scoreboard when Hogrell dropped an OSU cross into the box, and Brehmer was there to tap it in from six-yards out to give the home team a 1-0 advantage.

OSU put the game away during an impressive five-minute span in the second half.

The Cowgirls' second goal of the match came at the 69:06 mark. Anna Beffer delivered a deep shot that Hogrell saved but was unable to control, and Brehmer was there for the rebound to notch her second goal of the day and team-leading third of the season.

"I definitely hoped a day like today would come so I've been working hard for it," Brehmer said. "I didn't expect it, but I'm really excited.

Just 35 second after Brehmer made it 2-0, Zoller recorded the first goal of her collegiate career when she delivered a perfect shot from 20-yards out to the far post.

Dike would complete the Cowgirls' scoring in the 74th minute when she took the ball off a free kick from Christina Jean-Charles, pivoted and fired a shot from 12-yards out to the near post to push the OSU lead to 4-0.

Michela Ongaro and Ashton Hierholzer combined for a shutout in goal, with Ongaro recording a pair of saves in 78:29 of action.

OSU returns to action Friday night when the Cowgirls face No. 7 Florida in Gainesville before a Sunday showdown at UCF.
